Michigan Gaming — May 2026

Michigan operators reported $382.5M in combined iGaming and online sports betting gross receipts in May 2026 — a 3.1% lift from April. Online sports betting handle held nearly flat at $457.6M, while iGaming continued its 24% year-over-year run. State, City of Detroit, and tribal payments totaled $87.2M for the month.

  • Internet Gaming Fund: Detroit make-up payment (if total city gaming tax falls below $183M/year), MGCB regulation costs, millionaire-party administration, $500K to the Compulsive Gaming Prevention Fund, $2M to the First Responder Presumed Coverage Fund, remainder to the School Aid Fund.
  • Internet Sports Betting Fund: MGCB regulation costs, $500K to Compulsive Gaming Prevention Fund, $2M to First Responder Presumed Coverage Fund, remainder to School Aid Fund.
  • Fantasy Contest Fund: MGCB regulation costs, remainder to School Aid Fund.
